Ingredients:
1 tsp Salt
15 tsps Whole sesame seeds
Method:
Wash Sesame Seeds:
Rinse the sesame seeds in a strainer under running water. 2. Dry Roast Sesame Seeds:
In a pan, dry roast the sesame seeds over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
Continue roasting until the seeds fall off the back of a spoon. 3. Add Salt:
Add a pinch of salt to the sesame seeds.
Roast for a few more minutes, stirring constantly. 4. Grind Seeds:
Transfer the roasted sesame seeds to a blender or a suribachi (Japanese grinding bowl).
Grind until you achieve the desired consistency. 5. Usage:
These mineral-rich sesame seeds are great for sprinkling on top of salads and grains to enhance flavor.
